    Carrier Digital

Carrier's Digital Products and Software team is building solutions to reimagine systems that shape the way we live, work, and play. We're setting the standard for healthier, safer, and more resilient built environments – and connecting the cold chain to improve the process of safely shipping and storing food and critical medical supplies.

Designers at Carrier have a passion for built environments, an empathy for lived experiences, and an interest in connected solutions. We work on a range of complex digital innovation and strategic design projects critical to Carrier's continued business growth.

The Junior Designer partners with other designers to contribute to our digital products and innovation efforts. This role has an opportunity to explore and practice various aspects within the design – encompassing user research, experience strategy, interface design, and graphic design.

    What you'll do

Work with interaction and product designers to create pixel-perfect product interfaces.

Collaborate with UX researchers to imagine new features and bring them to life.

Apply brand style guides and design systems across touchpoints.

Create concepts to support in-person experiences for digital product brands (e.g., packaging)

Create journey maps, systems diagrams, and other essential UX artifacts.

Collaborate with other designers, technologists, and product management.

Create ideas to expand brand and design styles to accommodate new use cases.

Generate and deploy product marketing content across a variety of social media channels (e.g., Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram) in line with brand standards.

    Key Skills

Interest in learning different aspects of design – from visual design to strategy.

Excellent visual and verbal communication skills.

Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with a collaborative structure.

High motivation to make an impact and join an ambitious team.

Ability to explain design choices with strategic rationale.

Desire to learn and experience various aspects of design.

B.A. in a related field (e.g., graphic design, product design, UX, technology).

Portfolio of relevant work showcasing experience and interest across different design disciplines.

Experience in relevant design and prototyping tools like Sketch, InVision, Adobe, and Figma.

    Strong communication and presentation skills.

    Location considerations

Atlanta, GA, Palm Beach, FL, or remote for the right candidate.

Note: If remote, EST hours are typical – with a strong design team presence in the NYC area.
